Code Updates

May was a HUGE Month for Code Foils

What a huge month May turned out to be for the Code Foils community. We had international races and foil festivals along with demo days across Europe and Australia. It has been incredible seeing so many riders getting out on the water and pushing the sport forward.

If you picked up some of the newly released gear recently we hope you’ve already had a chance to put it through its paces.

Tahiti Foil Fest

One of the standout events of the month was the Tahiti Foil Fest, hosted by Tahiti Foil Club and SFT – Foil World Tour, featuring:

  • A Surf Foil event
  • A Dock Start competition
  • A Wake foil event
  • Two major downwind races: Tahiti to Moorea crossing & 15km coastal race

The conditions looked incredible and the Code riders delivered some strong results:

  • Adam Snow – 8th Men’s Overall in Downwind
  • Caitlin Baxter – 2nd Women’s Overall in Downwind, Surf and Wake
  • Mathieu Kamblock – 16th Men’s Overall in Downwind

You can watch the 2nd downwind race recap below. Huge congratulations to all the riders involved and everyone who helped make the event such a success.

Caity Baxter 2nd place in Tahiti

The Rocks Foil Fest in NSW

Another epic event this month was The Rocks Foil Fest in NSW.

A huge shoutout to the Code riders:
Josh Ku – 2nd Place Mens in Prone Surf
Jess Van Der Meer – 1st Place Womens in Prone Surf

Check out Jess ripping on Instagram.

We were super lucky with conditions on the day, 1-2 foot with a few peaky little banks and clear skies!
The event was awesome, it was my second foil fest. It’s such a great atmosphere – everyone is so inclusive and supportive. The standard just keeps getting bigger each year it’s insane! It was so epic to be out in the line up with my good friend Roxy, having a straight out final was fun but we can’t wait for more girls to join us so we can have a few rounds to try and get through!

Being part of this sport in the beginning stages is really amazing, the fact they recognise men’s and women’s divisions as equal for prize money is a statement and great benchmark for the sport”

Jess Van Der Meer

James Casey dropped a fun behind-the-scenes recap from the event, showcasing the energy of the comp and the growing foil scene in Australia.

Big thanks to NSW Foil Club for organising the event and Mitch White for filming.

Defi Wing

We were also stoked to be part of Defi Wing, with demos running all event long.

A massive thanks to one of our valued Code dealers, Windparadise Shop, for helping run the booth and getting riders on gear throughout the week. Check out these Defi Wing event highlights on Instagram.

Fehmarn Foil Festival in Germany

The European foil season is kicking into gear and the Fehmarn Foil Festival was another major highlight.

We had demos running across the event with Kai Steimer and Jon Mann representing Code on the ground.

Great to see so many riders testing gear and connecting with the community.

Check out Kai’s gear review.

Demo Days Across the Globe

May also saw a huge number of demo days happening across multiple locations giving riders the chance to try the latest setups and spend time with the community.

Thanks again to everyone riding, competing, testing gear, supporting events, and helping grow the sport.
